Situations outside are what they are. Resolution occurs inside you.
This is a tough one for most of us. We try to change the outer circumstances instead of looking inside for the solution. One thing I’ve learned is that my world is just that – my world. My perception, my interpretation, my creation. If I asked someone else what was happening in the same situation, I’d likely get a different interpretation than mine. Ack!
That means it’s my fault if I don’t like what’s happening. I’ve learned that’s not what it means at all. It means I’ve arrived at a challenge in the road of my life, and the solution is within me. But in order to resolve the dilemma, I need to look inside to see what I may have done to attract the unpleasant experience, for therein lies the solution. I’ve learned to treat these sticky situations as lessons in my personal growth.
On the other hand, if I like what’s happening I can recognize the experience as an expression of my positive qualities, a result of taking an opportunity to grow from an experience in the past. I can give myself a pat on the back, which makes me smile.
So, you see, we are rewarded by taking opportunities to grow from sticky situations rather than to judge ourselves, the experience, or someone else.
Another thing this attitude does for us is to put us in the driver’s seat of our life, opening us up to the power to change our life for the better.
We are really powerful beings. We manifest our experiences with our thoughts and attitudes, easy peasy, without even thinking. If we don’t like what we’re seeing, we can create something better by looking within. What are we doing to attract the situation? What choices do we have within its framework? How can we resolve it without judging ourselves or others?
When we treat a challenging situation as a life lesson, it has value for us. It becomes a gold mine of information that we can use to create the happiness and fulfillment we deserve.
Live your purpose, love your life.
